Wisdom to Change
I think myself happy Acts 26:2
Recession, bank failure, market crash, earthquakes, tsunami, volcanic eruptions, cyclones, hurricanes, flooding, tornadoes, homelessness, divorce, bankruptcy, situations and circumstances.
When we read about or see these things, many become depressed, oppressed and some have anxiety attacks. But why would Jesus tell us not to worry about these things? He wanted our focus to be on the many promises of His love towards us. The promise of I am coming back; I’ll never leave you or forsake you and the promise of He is with us always. If we focus on what’s going on around us, it will dictate how we feel, but if you take a different approach like looking through the eyes of faith, we’ll see things differently.
Just like Paul, when he was standing before King Agrippa, facing his accusers, the first thing he told the King, “I think myself happy. You see, Paul had a revelation that anything he was facing; he was able to face with Jesus. No matter what Paul was facing, he faced it happy. And guess what, we can too. We can face any situation or circumstance in our life with a happy spirit. We can face hardship with a joyful spirit, but to be honest it’s really up to you. We have to know within ourselves God is with us.
As we go through our day, many may have a position that requires much of us, but if we look to God who is our strength and our joy, we can have victory in every area of our lives. So face every single day with a happy spirit and remember Jesus is with us.

Wisdom to Change
For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:5
Helen received word the electric company wanted to charge a deposit of $671.00 and had to pay half of it in ten days. Well, Helen went before the Lord and reminded Him of her covenant of providing for her. She called the governor’s office and they gave the number to the Public Service Commission. Helen was on the case. She called the PSC and spoke with a gentleman concerning this outrageous deposit. Helen kept reminding herself that she is crowned with favor, honor and glory and God is going to show Himself strong.
Well, she explained the situation and requested the deposit be cut in half. He informed her that he could only cut it $510.00. Helen asked when is the deposit due date. He informed her in 10 days, but then he paused and asked Helen to wait one moment. He reviewed the account and saw that there was a deposit amount of $441.00 already on file. He informed Helen they only have to pay $69.00 to make the deposit of $510.00.
When I tell you God is good, He is truly good. I wanted to share the story on the favor of God and how He intervened on Helen’s behalf and brought peace in her situation. Listen, God is good to all and whatever the need my be, rest knowing He is able to do it.

Truth versus Pride
Wisdom to Change
Your Word is Truth John 17:17
Truth is very essential if we want to make it in this life. It is the only road that leads us to the destination God has for us. Of course there are twist and turns, but they are only there to help us look to God. On the other hand, pride keeps you blinded to the truth. It keeps you from hearing the truth and leads you on a path of destruction. Pride keeps us from allowing God to use us for His purposes. When we do things our way, we are in no position to do things God’s way and He puts pride in the same category as murder?
Pride says my way is the right way but Truth says Lord humble me and keep me in your perfect will. Pride says everybody is doing it, but Truth says I rather serve God than live a moment of pleasure and perish in the end. Pride says I am always right and nobody can tell me anything, but Truth says Lord, I submit myself to the Lord and submit myself to those that are in authority over me.
Pride will never have a good ending because it is all about self. And the Word has much to say about pride.
Proverbs 13: By pride comes nothing but strife
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before the fall
Proverbs 29:23 A man’s pride will bring him low
Mark 7:21-23 For from within, out of the heart of mean, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, and evil eye, blasphemy, PRIDE, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.
Truth will always lead you on a path that’s everlasting. The Word says God is Truth, so you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. When you rely strictly on the Truth of God’s Word, this TRUTH will lead you on a smooth path (Psalms 27:11). When you take God at His Word, truth will reside in you to walk upright. The more truth that is in you will cause you to walk in truth and your Heavenly Father has no greater joy than to know that His children are walking in the Truth. Pride will always leave you in ruins when you let it rule and reign in your life, so choose to walk in the truth of God’s Word which will only lead to a life that’s fruitful and full of the blessings.
