You didn’t Know?

Wisdom to Change

Imitate me, jus as I also imitate Christ 1 Corinthians 11:1

Nobody took the time to let you know? You don’t have a clue? Well, I’ll tell you, but you have to answer some questions. Are you a child of the Most High God? Do you love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul? Do you serve Him with a heart of gratitude? Well, if you answered “YES” to all the questions, here is what you need to know. You have an assignment to make Christ look attractive to the world.

This assignment is not hard. If we say we love Him with all our heart, mind and soul, this assignment to attract people to Christ should be our way of life. Just like a fly is attracted to decaying things, bees to flowers and a shark to blood, we are to have a sweet, attractive, loving spirit that attracts people to Christ. We must attractive others by how we carry ourselves, our actions, our lifestyle and what we say. This assignment to make Christ attractive may be at work, in our neighborhoods, at the grocery store or places the Lord would lead us to. To be attractive in Christ should never consist of the outward appearance, but the inward heart. We must have an attractive heart filled with love and compassion to draw all men closer to Christ. Our words should reflect the peace of God; our life should reflect the love of God; our actions should reflect the mercy and compassion of God and our way of life should reflect and attractive people to live right. To mirror, imitate and reflect the love of God, is an act of the heart.

Now, that we know what our assignment is, make an effort to have a positive effect on someone’s life with God’s love, peace and joy reflected in us.

Everybody is searching for Something

Wisdom to Change

When You said, Seek My face, my heart said to You, Your face Lord I will seek. Psalm 27:8

What are you searching for? Many people are searching for money. Some are searching for love. Others are searching for the power of God. Some people are just searching and don’t really know what they’re looking for. There seems to be a longing for something more in your life, but you just can’t put your finger on it. You sense that there’s more to life than what you are experiencing and seeing.

Guess what?

There is more, more than you’ll ever know. There’s so much more, it will take a life time to attain it all. To attain the things that have real meaning takes commitment. Are you committed to searching out the wisdom of God? Did you know if you have wisdom, you can attain peace, joy, love wealth, health, insight and understanding? But the only way you'll ever attain these things is through sacrifice. Sacrifice to study and meditate on the Word of God in order to receive the things you need to live this life. You can’t get it by watching TV, reading novels and doing your own thing. If you’re committed to getting up every single day to go to work, you should find it easy to make time for God. Can you make time for Him? Monday through Friday we work many hours and you mean to tell me we can’t make time for God? You got to be kidding me! That means we’re more committed and dedicated to a job than we are to God. Don’t you know He’s the one that gave us the job? Stop right now and thank Him! Thank Him for everything you have. We must learn to appreciate what we have and stop going on scavenger hunts looking for things that have no meaning and only lead to disappointment and heartache.

The only search we should be on is the seeking of the Kingdom of God. If you ask, it will be given to you; if you SEEK, you will find. If you knock, it will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives and he that SEEKS will find. Stop searching and do some seeking into the things of God.

Wisdom To Change

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33

God wants us to seek and think about His kingdom in virtually everything we do. Since He always looks at the motives of the heart, He knows whether or not you are thinking primarily about yourself when you pray, “God, give me that promotion,” or “God, give me a car.”

Remember that God blesses you so you can be a blessing to others, and He knows whether or not this principle is rooted in your heart and life. Understand that He gives you all His blessings so you can give them away in many ways. Some things you are to pass down to your children and their children after them. Other things you are to give away to others. God has given you everything you have and everything you are so you can bring others into the kingdom.

When you have the kingdom in your heart and on your mind, you can pray, “Father, give me a new car,” or “God, give me that promotion,” with proper motives and great effect. Why? You know that you can use those blessings as tools to share the gospel of your risen Savior with those who are under your authority or who work with you. They can create a platform and an open door for you to activate kingdom principles and lead someone into the kingdom through those blessings.

Once you understand that everything God gives you essentially belongs to someone else, He will start giving you more! Those blessings belong to Him, and He invests them in you so you can bless someone else. If He gives you a whole house full of new furniture, do not sell the old at a yard sale and do not call people to ask if they want to buy it. Give away the old furniture and do it in Jesus’ name! Tell them God told you to bless them because He blessed you! Then you will enjoy good reaping seasons for the kingdom.

My Father in heaven, my life is not my own and none of my possessions, abilities, or gifts belongs to me. Everything comes from and belongs to You, and that is the way it should be. Use me to glorify Your name, and show me where to sow my seed for a great harvest of giving, healing, salvation, restoration, grace, and mercy in the lives of others! In Jesus’ name I will give, believe, and build the kingdom. Amen.

Are You Squeaky?

Wisdom to Change

I have been anointed with fresh oil. Psalm 92:10b

Cars need oil in order to lubricate the moving parts. In general, motor oil is the most commonly used oil in a car. This oil is meant to lubricate moving parts such as cam shafts, crank shafts, lifters and pistons. Without oil, these metals on metal contacts would heat up and eventually melt due to the friction created. Oil helps by lubricating the surfaces where moving metal parts meet. In addition, oil helps absorb and disperse the heat generated by the friction.

If you take care of something that is so temporal, how much more should you take care of your spirit man? Have you ever notice when you don’t allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you, you tend to doubt what God has promised. You worry, complain and confusion tries to keep you bound. You’re impatient, snappy, aggravated and restless in your spirit that you feel like you’re in a dry place. Well, what you need is an oil change; changed from the stale oil to the fresh one. When you hear the squeakiness of your soul, get before the Father and rest in His presence while he fills you with fresh oil. This oil will cause you to run for God, serve Him with your whole heart and live for Him in an exceptional way that brings glory to His name. This oil has staying power, power to live right, power to believe in the impossible and stand tall to fight. This is the oil of the Holy Ghost.

When the Holy Ghost brings oil, he comes to get rid of all the squeaks so you and I can run smoothly. Well, I don’t know about you but I need this oil, so I can stop squeaking.
