Wisdom for Today
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19
What if I told you that you will meet with success today? What things would come to mind? Would money, a promotion, that big deal you've been waiting on, maybe a new car, or how about a bigger house? Sounds exciting, don’t it? Well, if you want to meet with success today, there are conditions that must be met. You may ask what the conditions are. The condition for meeting with success is Obedience. Obedience is the key to everything. It’s the key to success, peace, happiness, joy, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. It’s the key to going to the next level. It’s the key to health, wealth and riches. But there are conditions that must be met. Just like a job in order to get a paycheck, you have to meet the conditions of working Monday through Friday, 8 to 10 hours a day to receive your pay. You'll meet the conditions of a job in order to get paid, but will you meet the conditions of obedience in order to meet with success, today?
There are conditions throughout the Word that instructs us on how to meet with success. Here are some examples:
If you walk in My statutes, keep and perform them…He will give you rain in your season, you will dwell safely, He will give you peace, He will look upon you favorably, He will bring you into a good land, you will eat bread without scarcity, He will give you the power to get wealth, prolong your days, He will command the blessing upon you, bless you in your body, bless you when you come in and go out, you will be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath and He will open His good treasure to you.
Now if you don’t meet the conditions according to obedience, you will not meet with success in any area in your life. Here are some examples:
If you do not obey Me, do not observe, despise My statues, if your souls detest My judgment, if you do not perform them and break My covenant, I will appoint terror upon you, disease and fever shall consume you, you shall sow seed in vain, your enemies shall eat you up, My face will be against you, you shall be defeated by your enemies and those who hate you shall reign over you. Sounds like the choice you make in not obeying, you alone ALLOWED these things to come upon you.
There is much more, but I did not want you think that our God is mean, He’s not. God is a just God, a good God and He is faithful to his children. The choice will always be left up to you. So remember, if you choose to obey-Hoorah, if you choose to disobey-You lose!

Why?
Wisdom for Today
For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds Psalm 7:9
Why do I have to go through anything? Why is it so hard? Why does it hurt? Why do I worry so much? Why can’t I trust God? Why can’t I have faith like Jesus? Why can’t I pray when I need to? Why can’t I take time to read the Word? Why do I keep going through the same thing? Why won’t things change? Why can’t I get past this? Why, Why, Why.
My question to you is why do you ask why? We all have asked the question why. I use to wonder why myself. Why do we have test and trials? What’s the purpose of going through anything? I realized one day, we go through test and trials to make us stronger and better, to strengthen our faith and our love for Him. We are not exempt from test and trials. They come in our lives by 2 means, the Father and the enemy. You may say but how can the enemy bring test and trials in my life. He doesn’t have the right to. Believe me he bring test and trials by any means necessary. He tested Jesus and he will test you. The enemy sits back and watches your every move. He watches how you react in situations and he bases what type of test to bring in your life. If you have an attitude problem, he will use an attitude test. If you’re having a giving problem, he will tell you not to give what rightfully belongs to God. He will say things like; you know you can’t afford to give the tithes and offerings. Listen, you can’t afford not to. If you have a problem with the flesh, he will cause all types of distractions for you to fall. I can go on and on about things he likes to use against you to bring you down. But if you know your authority in Christ, anything that he tries to bring your way, you’ll be able to defeat him with the Word and living in harmony with God. So why not have a good fight-fight the good fight of Faith, where you always win.
Another way we are tested is by God. There are many tests he uses to see what’s in our hearts. You’ll have the test of love to see if you can love the unlovely. You’ll have the test of money, to see if you’re a cheerful, willing giver or one that’s stingy and gives grudgingly. You’ll have the test of faith, to see if you’ll walk by faith or by sight. He’ll bring a variety of test to check where your heart is. Remember when Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his son Isaac, this test was given to check his obedience to God. It’s ok to ask why, but realize it is to see what’s in your heart and your obedience to Christ. So, why not. Except the challenges that come in your life, it’s either going to make you better or bitter.

How Are You Different?
Wisdom for Today
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
How are you different from the world? You should be different in how you talk. You should be different in how you live. You should be different in how you act. But what makes you different from the world? When you speak, how are you different in what you say from how the world talks? How are you different in your actions, when someone says unkind things to you? We see and hear what’s going on in the world, but how are you different? There should be something that says I am not of this world. But what could that be? Is it your eyes, ears, mouth, skin color, nationality, where you stay, the position on your job, male or female, your height, short or long hair, fat or skinny, married or single, or could it be your financial status?
I’ll tell you how we are different; we are different because of the Word. The Word says we are not of this world, so that means we don’t think or act or live according to this world’s system. This world’s system wants to put us in a mold by shaping how we think and act. Thinking that the only way God will bless us is through a job. Don’t get me wrong, a job is a blessing, but God has greater ways of blessing us. He will give you an idea that can create wealth in your life and have the world wondering how could you come up with an idea like that. The world says you’re crazy to give, but you’re different when you give because He blesses you. You know the secret behind giving. The world says test the waters before you get married, then if it’s to your liking, then get married. You’re different because you know your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and you will never do anything to dishonor Him. The world says it’s ludicrous to think any other way, but guess what, we are different. We are different because we are made in His image. We are different in what we say and do. We are different because we are willing to forgive. We are different because we love even if love isn’t given back and we are different because we have a peace that the world doesn’t have or understand. The world will never comprehend or understand why we serve, love and give to a God we can’t see or touch. But if the world knew what we know, they would jump at the chance to serve the true and living God.
This is how we are different.
