Wisdom To Change

Be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
There is another class of people you should watch out for: the people who will try to talk you out of your blessing. They will actually try to shrink your faith in the name of religion or “common sense.”

Small-minded people have a particularly bad habit of looking at you like you are crazy because they did not hear that particular thing from God. (I suppose they think God would never do something without clearing it through them!)

Very often, blessing-stealers are Christians with a very small vision of God. They are doing all they can to believe God just to pay their rent. Go higher. Associate with people who are believing God to help them buy a house, debt free!

You serve a God who is bigger than a rent-paying God. Get to know Him as the all-powerful Jehovah-Jireh. He declares, “I will pay it off, and not simply in your children’s lifetime, but right now. I am God your Provider.”

People who struggle to believe God just for rent will rarely be able to believe what God is saying to you. Family members also have a unique ability to steal a blessing by persuading you that you did not hear God. They find it hard to believe that God could use you—after all, they remember you in diapers. Even Jesus had to deal with this problem.

Be prepared when people try to talk you out of your mission and promise. If they cannot persuade you, they may begin to criticize and mock you. Do not turn aside; be bold and courageous. Look neither to the right nor to the left, and be sure to do all that the Lord placed in your heart!

Heavenly Father, I know I heard Your voice, and I know You gave me divine assignments and holy promises. It is You who is at work in me both to will and to do Your perfect will, and I will obey. I place my faith in You, and I will not be moved. By Your Spirit, I will possess the promise You gave me. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Think and Reflect

Wisdom to Change

I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, and my spirit makes diligent search. Psalm 77:6

Think about what you are thinking about. Do your thoughts bring peace and joy? Are your thoughts reflecting on the True and Living God? Do your thoughts bring confusion? Are your thoughts a reflection of God? Well, let’s think and reflect on what matters most-The Word! Let’s begin to meditate on His Word in order to bring change.

Meditation simply means THINKING about the Word, REFLECTING on the Word, and PRAYING the Word. Begin to think, reflect and pray the Word until it begins to burn itself in your mind and heart. Meditation also means pondering a particular scripture and mentally applying it to your own circumstances until it permanently marks your consciousness. Wow, like searing a hot iron to your mind.

When God told Abram he was going to have a son, he could not believe it. He wondered how this was possible, since him and Sarah were so old. You see God didn't just make a verbal promise and leave it at that, God did something else. God told Abram, Look up toward the heaven and tell the stars if I am able to number you, so shall my seed be. God gave Abram an image to ponder on. Everytime he looked into the skies, he was filling his eyes and heart with the promise of God.

You may wonder how to get an image on the promises of God for your life. It’s like reading a book with no pictures. As you read, you start to get a mental picture of the charters and the location of the story. When you read the Word, think about what you are reading, reflect on it, pray it and then get an image of God’s promise for your life. When God said to YOU, he has given YOU the power to get wealth. That means He will give you an idea that can cause wealth to come into you life when you meditate, ponder, pray, act and get an image on it. The image you receive will be an image from His promises that will carry you into your destiny.

When I Grow Up

Wisdom to Change

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head of Christ. Ephesians 4:15

When I grow up, I want to be a doctor. I want to be a nurse. I want to be a singer. I want to be the president of the United States. I want to be married and have lots of children and live happily ever after. I want to be just like Mike. We all have dreams of what we want to be when we grow up. But have you ever heard someone say, when I grow up I want to be like Jesus. No! I never heard anyone say they want to be like Christ. I want to preach the gospel or perform the miracles like Jesus did. You don’t hear this among people today.

I believe it has to do with what we saw growing up. If we saw things that did not represent Christ or heard things which did not line up with His Word, these are things we would imitate. What would make you want to be like Christ? Well, I saw my grandmother serve the Lord with all her heart and soul. She always prayed, giving thanks to God and when she praised Him; the very core of my spirit would shake. She would even have bible study with all her grandchildren every Wednesday night. I remember a time we played church, imitating my grandmother. We would shout, praise and give thanks just like she did. We even sang songs, clapped our hands and shouted just like she did when she praised Him. In church, I would watch her because I loved to see her praise the Lord. I’m so glad she lived a life that reflected Christ to me.

We need to be examples of Jesus to someone. Our lives should be shouting “Jesus is real and He loves you”! Our speech should always send out a sound that would cause men to draw to Christ. The life we live should reflect how awesome our God is. We must be examples of Christ in what we say, how we act and how we live our lives in order to reflect His love to a lost and dying world that needs hope. The Christ in us needs to be attractive. So attractive, people want what we have. This is exactly what my grandmother did. She gave me Jesus. She was my example of wanting to grow up and be like Christ.

So, when you grow up want do you want to be?

Why are Words so Important?

Wisdom to Change
And whatever you do in WORD or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17

Why would God tell us, life and death are in the power of our tongue? Why would he say every idle (inactive) word I speak, I will give an account of in the Day of Judgment? He even said by my words I will be justified and by my words I will be condemned. What did He mean when he said death and life are in the power of the tongue? Do I need to be careful in what I say?

My child, you need to be very careful in what you say.  When you speak things other than my Word, those things will come to pass in your life. You see, I can’t do anything about it if you speak things other than My Word. You have bound me by the words of your own mouth. And it’s not going to get any better until you change your confessions and begin to agree with My Word. You’re not in agreement with my Word when you are operating in fear and unbelief. When you operate in these things, you establish the words of the evil one in your life. By your own mouth you have given the evil one permission to bring destruction in your life by your words. I would like to do something but I would be violating my Words, because I’m only moved by faith-filled words. My child, my Words bring life and my Words bring about change. Just because you see lack, doesn’t mean you have to speak it. Remember the world is saying one thing, but I speak a different language. There are spiritual laws that go into effect when you speak faith filled words versus doubt filled words. Words are seeds that produce just what you say. Once you open your mouth and speak, seeds are released. These seeds are then released into the atmosphere. They grow and produce the very thing you have spoken. Whatever you want to produce in your life is completely up to you. But I would suggest that you think before you speak and ask yourself, do I really want these things to come to pass in my life?

Listen up, when it looks bad; it’s better to keep your mouth shut than to go around complaining and murmuring. Learn to program your heart by saying what God says instead of what the world says. Speak the results you want to come to pass and not the results that bring death and condemnation. Speak life, it’s worth it in the end!
